Our commitment

We want SheetRank to be usable by as many people as possible, including people who rely on a keyboard, a screen reader, or other assistive technology. This statement is an honest account of where we are today, not a conformance claim — we are not currently certifying against a specific WCAG level, and we say so here rather than asserting one we have not verified.

What's in place today

  • Dialogs and modals across the product (grading results, model review, class management, confirmation prompts) are built on a shared primitive that provides keyboard focus trapping, focus restoration on close, and the ARIA attributes a screen reader needs to announce them correctly.
  • Live grading feedback and the HARD-mode countdown timer are announced to screen readers via ARIA live regions as they update, not conveyed through color or layout alone.
  • Every account-facing page has a styled, keyboard-reachable error and loading state, rather than a blank screen or an unstyled crash page.
  • Core marketing, account, and dashboard pages use semantic HTML and our shared component library, which carries baseline keyboard and screen-reader support.

Known gaps

The spreadsheet grid itself — the core of Deal Flow, Speed Sessions, and the Academy — is a canvas-rendered editor (Univer), not a native HTML table. Canvas-rendered grids are inherently difficult for screen readers to interpret cell-by-cell, and we have not yet built a parallel accessible representation of it. Several newer surfaces (Speed Sessions in particular) have less ARIA coverage than the main workspace and are a known area we are actively working through, not a gap we consider closed.

Tell us what's not working

If you use assistive technology and hit a barrier anywhere on SheetRank — including the areas above — tell us. We read every report and prioritize fixes that unblock someone from actually using the product, not just ones that are easy to make. Reach us at hello@sheetrank.com.
